My version of better is care. Caring about my clients and caring about the work is how I get the best results.
My partner and I met on a Lord of the Rings course at uni, which I reckon proves that I’m meant to be in the marketing, media and writing space. No wonder that, even now, I love a story with good relationships.
But I also love being organised and organising people, which has helped me find my footing in my account management roles and getting to grips on every part of a creative project. It’s worked out well; as an account manager, I’ve been involved with award-winning campaigns for some serious nationwide names over the years.
Working as a buyer’s assistant and dealing with factories, suppliers and marketers, I learned quickly that respect and integrity are fundamental to good working relationships. You’ve got to love – and I do love – working with people who do what they say and say what they do. Whether with customers, clients, colleagues or other businesses, developing a good understanding and respect of each other is fundamental to good relationships.
Intelligent Ink means being able to work with passionate people and the businesses they lead. You become a mini-expert in lots of different fields – but in a really niche way. I love learning about clients’ businesses – what they do, what’s important, and helping them achieve whatever it is that they’re trying to do.
